Our quiet, comfy apartment is in West Harlem, an historic and special hood thats going through a gentrification transition. Many new, hip restaurants, shopping and entertainment are right outside our door as well as historic, original Harlem staples. Were across the street from Harlem Hospital and the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

BTW... apartment avail for shorter stays of 1 month @ $3500 and 1 week @ $1000. No daily rentals but additional days on a longer lease will be $185/ day

Our building is one of six that were constructed for Harlem elites back around 1960. Politicians, famous musicians and actors had and still have apartments here. Our building has a rare-in-NYC drive-up circle which is very convenient for car services; and a 24 hour doorman, security and maintenance staff.

Three efficient elevators whisk you up to the apartment with little waiting time. Theres an always near-empty laundry room in the basement where youll also find vending machines and recycling bins.

The layout of our bright and airy apartment is old school size, so the rooms are ample. We face east and miss the noisy bustle of Lenox Ave. FYI: Lenox Ave (aka Malcolm X Blvd are the same street. Two names. One Street.)

In addition, our main windows face a big open space over the parking lot so the curtains can be open as much as you like. Other apartments are not in your face like in many Manhattan buildings. We love the eastern sunrise, the openess and the light it brings.

Our apartment is warm and lived in. Its not like a hotel room. Weve got lots of family photos, tchotchkes and some very fine original art hanging on the walls. Theres a 42 HD TV with 5 channel surround audio in the LR and a 37 TV in the BR. Through our ROKU, both have access to premium streamers like NetFlix, HBO, and Hulu as well as ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, CNN, MSNBC and more. Everythings running on Spectrums speedy 600mb internet and all are included in the rent as well as gas/electricity.
